Dr. Drake has been in full time private practice since 1991 and was Assistant Clinical Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine, The George Washington University and the psychological consultant to The Maret School in Washington, DC. She is a Teaching Analyst at The Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis.
Dr. Drake completed her training at The George Washington University, The Clinical Social Work Institute and The Baltimore Washington Institute for Psychoanalysis. She has been a consultant to community agencies, mental health clinics, hospitals, courts, school systems public and private, corporations, NGOs and group medical practices. She has provided consultation to local television stations, NPR, the Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal Online, and Voice of America and has published in professional peer-reviewed journals and presented papers nationally at professional conferences.
Dr. Drake served as President of the Baltimore Washington Society for Psychoanalysis and as an officer on the Board of Directors of The Greater Washington Society for Clinical Social Work and the China American Psychoanalytic Association. She is licensed in Virginia and the District of Columbia.
