Dr. Drake completed her graduate training at The George Washington University, The Clinical Social Work Institute and The Baltimore Washington Institute for Psychoanalysis. She has served as a consultant to community agencies, mental health clinics, hospitals, courts, school systems public and private, corporations, NGOs, and group medical practices, local television stations, NPR, the Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal Online, and Voice of America. She has published in professional peer-reviewed journals and presented papers nationally at professional conferences.
Dr. Drake served as President of the Baltimore Washington Society for Psychoanalysis and as an Officer on the Board of Directors of The Greater Washington Society for Clinical Social Work and the China American Psychoanalytic Association. She is licensed in Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Dr. Drake has been in full time private practice since 1991 and has been a member of the faculty of the Georgetown University School of Medicine and The George Washington University as an Assistant Clinical Professor. She formerly was the Psychological Consultant to The Maret School in Washington, DC. and is active in professional organziations and continuing education in order to stay up-tp-date on current research in psychology and psychotherapy.
